Summary

Your position as Project Manager

To realize our ambitions in the field of sustainable energy, we are developing new value propositions for the energy sector. You will manage projects to deliver these new value propositions as well as manage projects that support our existing business in the petrochemical sector. As we are actively transitioning to these new value propositions currently the existing business is still larger than the new. Therefore, your first projects will probably focus on reducing the emissions of large petrochemical companies in our sulphur recovery business.

You will identify and deliver value through managing the needs, deliverables and acceptance criteria of our customers and translating this to your project result. To do this you will be managing the output of your project team which will contain members of all relevant disciplines (such as mechanical, process, EC&I, procurement, QC, document control and others). In this team you are the captain and not the coach and as such you will be expected to contribute with a hands-on attitude.

With your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills, together we will realize our goal to convert green ammonia into hydrogen and provide clean energy on a global scale, as well as reducing the emissions of the existing industry.

What will you do?

The position of project manager is a very dynamic role which requires excellent communication, collaboration and leadership qualities.

The following are your key responsibilities:

  • Develop a relation with our customer and all additional stakeholders which focuses on collaboration and value creation.
  • Translate the customer requirements to the scope of work for our suppliers (read customer specifications and write supplier requisitions)
  • Coordinate, plan, delegate and execute all activities that contribute to the project result.
  • Assume responsibility for all project deliverables such as schedule, quality and budget control.
  • Assume responsibility for all technical documentation that is submitted to our customer and to our vendors, and management of changes to these documents.
  • Continuously identify and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Representing our company in meetings with stakeholders such as the customer, this could require occasional travel.

What do we ask of you?

  • 3+ years of experience in (a) similar role(s).
  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Having (a) project management qualification(s) is desirable (IPMA, Prince 2, PMBOK, Scrum, Agile, Lean, etc.).
  • Having experience with Primavera and/or MS Projects is desirable.
  • Having a dynamic and hands-on attitude.
  • Being a quick learner with the ability to self-teach.
  • Having excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Wanting to work and win together.
  • Being flexible for some business travel.
  • Having excellent skills in the Dutch and English language.

What do we offer?

  • The salary indication is between € 4000,- and € 5900,- gross per month, subject to knowledge and experience.
  • A Collective Labour Agreement that includes 38 vacation and leave days per calendar year (based on full-time employment), a pension plan with PME and a profit dependent bonus.
  • The position involves basically a full-time employment of 40 hours. However, a working week between 32 and 40 hours is open for discussion. In addition, attention is paid to the work-life balance with the possibility of hybrid work.
  • A very challenging position in an ambitious organization with a good and informal working atmosphere.
  • Training and development opportunities consisting of an individual development budget and additional support in training and development.
  • A vitality-budget and the opportunity to participate in collective insurances relating to income.
  • A one-year contract followed by a permanent position upon proven suitability.
